I don't think he's even exaggerating, the credits are INCREDIBLY long.
Consoles have the same achievements; it would be easiest there to skip by accident. Effectively, skipping the credits on a console is as simple as powering off with your controller or launching a different game.
The fact that I voice my complaint about this particular issue does not mean it is the "worst thing" I have to complain about. My life and my private matters are none of your business and I do not go complaining about my private matters publicly. This discussion was to complain about the end credits.
Yes, life has many aspects to it and this certainly does not merit too much of importance on inviduals life experience but that doesn't mean you therefore should just not discuss about it. Especially not in the forum dedicated to the game.
