i can't get passed when you get out of the shower and the man is in the room. any tips?

Why do you need to type the username and password which says it's the room number if you don't know the room number and there's nothing in the room that says it? I know the pizza guy said the room number but that was a cut scene before the player is asked to write that into the computer to log in, and of course I didn't have any reason to retain the random room number in my brain so I don't know it and am now screwed?...
