Here is a short FAQ i wrote to help answer common question in Split Screen.

**How do i play Split Screen?**
Answer --> After logging into your profile the split screen option will be available in the main menu.

**How do i change car colors in split screen?**
Answer--> To change car colors in split screen, if using a controller you must use a controller that supports "DirectInput" and the buttons to change color would be "button 3" & "Button 4" if your not sure which button that is on your gamepad refer to your controller's manual.

**Can i play Split Screen with a keyboard?**
Answer--> Split Screen can be played with either 4 controllers or 3 controllers and 1 keyboard. Note if on a laptop, you must disable the keyboard in "Device Manager" so that it will free up another slot for a controller if you want to play 4 players in split screen while all using controllers.

**Can i use car Mod's in Split Screen?**
Answer--> Yes you can.

1.) to use mods you first must download the Crash Time 3 Addon Manage from here : http://krom.reveur.de/index.php?t=wred_tools

the tool is AFC11HN Manager v0.1d --> once download drag the icon into your main crash time 3 game folder under : Steam/Steamapps/Common/CrashTime3

2.) Download car mods from here : http://www.eleven-games.net/index.php?site=files&cat=64

Once Downloaded you must extract the gamefile using Z-Zip extracter for example that can be downloaded here : http://www.7-zip.org/

then drag the "Auto" folder into steam/steamapps/common/crashtime3/auto

then drag the sound folder which is morten2 i belive into its corresponding folder, Note if it ever ask's for you to replace a file click "Don't Overwrite File, Keep both of them" etc.

**How many players can play split screen?**
Answer--> 2-4 players on the same screen/Computer at the same time.

**How do i unlock Cars & Tracks for Split Screen use?**
Answer--> You must play the main campain story as Ben and Semier to unlock more cars and tracks for game use.

**Does split screen have the same amout of car damage as Single Player game modes?**
Answer--> Split Screen has just as much a explosions, traffic damage and crumpled body panels as it does in single player game modes.

**What kind of computer do i need to play split screen?**
Answer--> Here is what the steam storefront say's:



CPU: Athlon 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 - 3,2 GHz or better


RAM: 1 GB RAM (2 GB RAM for Vista)


VGA: DirectX 9.0c compatible 256 MB graphics card
Supported Graphics Cards:
AGP 8x or PCI Express, ATI Radeon X800 or better, nVidia GeForce 6600 GT or better, Video card must support ShaderModel 2.0 and hardware T&L, Not compatible with integrated graphics solutions, in particular laptop computers.


DX: DirectX 9.0c (November 2008)


OS: Windows XP with SP2, or Windows Vista with SP1

**Note** Reccomend GPU is Nvidia Geforce 8800gt, but i play the game perfectly on my Go 7950GTX.

Is Split Screen Multiplayer limited to just racing each other, or can you roam the open world with your friends as well? This is the only question I need answered before I decide to buy or not.

Split Screen is limited to competitive racing only, but with four players its alot of fun ! i would pick it up especially for less than $3 :) i hoped this helped !

Thanks for the response. Do any of the Crash Time games after 3 have open world multiplayer?

Not that i would know of, Crash Time 4 & 5 would need to be imported into the united states unless a individual seller has a copy that they got imported, which would usually be marked up beyond belief to make up for the shipping, and import taxes. i would personally reccomend crash time 3 & 4, not five as it only has sports cars and suv's not any of the other cool rides such as go kart's, fire engines etc that the previous games have.

To you point about importing, there are places to get 4 and 5 digitally so no shipping would apply.

Also does 4 or 5 have free roam local multiplayer?

No. only in singe player can you free roam.

True. But I think Crash Time would benefit from either local or online/lan free roam multiplayer.

i know crash time 4 has lan play, ask the game developers of synetic's webiste they can futher anwser your questions.

Hey mann i found out that crash time 3 does have a free roam for 4 players just type "wannago" once the race starts lol.

yeah its a cheat code that enables it lol

its a secret most people don't know about it i had to do some heavy reasearch. the cheat code also works in the fourth and fith game in the franchise lol
