200 Bleed Daggers

Someone invaded my game and put 200 bleed daggers in my inventory and now it crashes my game every time I go into my inventory. Has anyone else had this problem and what's some ways I can fix this?
Is there any way to prevent this from happening again?

Indeed, happened to me last night from “Test” +15 daggers - inventory corrupted >100 hours of play through on a steam deck; which fixing would require transferring the file and installing the game on pc, and then transferring back to the steam deck. I’ll continue with the current file just to finish the game, but handicapped. What a utter jerk and loser to go out and do this to random people. Hope he feels his life loneliness deeply.

you can certainly get cheat engine to work on steam deck. look it up, at that point its trivial to fix it.

I miss those days in Dark Souls PTDE where you could change a host's last used bonfire to the one in the abyss, but since they never beat the Four Kings, they were stuck in an eternal loop of getting consumed by the abyss. How I miss those times.

it is good someone posted this bleed dagger invader problem here.

I just went through the bleed dagger removal based on the help posted on Reddit after I had the same experience today with the bleed dagger invader (in front of Drangleic Castle) and I was clueless what had happened afterwards as the invader died before challenging me and then my character was lifted up and crashed on the stairs to death (subsequently infused with the invader's bleed daggers).
At first I thought the save game was damaged due to the game crash until I noticed the bleed daggers for a short time when opening the weapon inventory before crashing again. I hope this troll hacker gets banned from Steam/Dark Souls 2 a.s.a.p.

In addition to backing up my save game now and then, I will mostly play Dark Souls 2 offline now as invaders/PvP is now even more of an annoyance to me.

First, I would recommend anyone reading this install the "Blue Acolyte" mod off of the Nexus page, or the github fork. I will provide a link to the Nexus page at the end of this post.

It appears that the only way to remove these items currently is to use the public Cheat Engine table, which can be acquired from the Dark Souls community Discord, which I will also link at the end of this post. Make sure you have the current build of Cheat Engine installed (version 7.4 as of 4/12/2024). To remove the items, launch Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, and load the effected character. Next, open the Cheat Engine table(DS2_SotFS_Bob_Edition.CT), and it will automatically link to your active instance of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. In the lower section, click "Open - Table v4.7.4" > "Scripts" > "Misc" > "+14 Crash Protection". Once this is enabled, this will prevent the game from crashing due to the +14 Bleed Daggers in your inventory. From here, you should now be able to go in and remove them. To hasten the process, select one of the items, and hit "Discard Selected", and you can mass select the items to be discarded.

If this does not work, feel free to message me and we can work on another solution.

Just a quick update- got shmiga's main added to the blue acolyte global blocklist. Obviously he can still family share, but anyone playing with BA installed won't have to encounter his account anymore.

Simply look at you recenltly played list on steam especially if you did not play with many ppl.

Check who was the most recent after you got hacked item installed into you.

Even better if you did not play for a while and there is only 1 person.So there is no questions.

If multiple persons have the same recenly player just after they got hacked then he is very likely a hacker and deserves to be reported on steam and including to the Japan devs.

And funnily enough Dark souls 2 is the least played souls.

Regardless Blue acolyte mode is good.

100% he enjoys seeing the chaos he created unfolds. I haven't seen the DS2 board this active in a very long time.
