I say Miracles work. In terms of sub-weapons from the Castlevania series, the only ones you could represent in-game are Knives and Holy Water by way of throwing knives and witching urns. There actually is a lightning weapon in Symphony of the Night where you throw it once and just hold up+special and it zaps whatever it hits til you run out of hearts, so there's precedence for throwing lightning spears.
the prob with whips are their durability ( and with the durability bug it realy sucks -_-' )
Havin' to sub out Pate's gloves with the Traveling Merchant gloves at the moment, because I was stupid and thought Cale was Pate. By the time I realized my blunder, he already rellocated to Earthen Peak where I'll have to kill him there.
Using a whip is.....interesting, to say the least. You've got a killer reach for melee, but all of your attacks have quite a bit of recovery that makes you have to think about your attacks and whether you're safe or not. Almost like.......almost like it's a Castlevania build in a Dark Souls game or something :V
