IMO Crown of the Old Iron King is the easiest of the three.

Old Iron King seems easiest to me, but I'm tending towards in order (So sunken king)

I guess the DLCs play to peoples different strength and weaknesses. I personally found the Sunken King DLC to be the hardest and most rage-inducing. (Barring a certain optional zone in the Ivory King DLC)

I found The Sunken King really difficult, unlike the main DS2. Then a friend told me "dude, hit those little blue pillars in Shulva". I did it and everything became much much much easier.

LOL those blue pillars -_- I hit one accidentally while fighting the first few in the area, best "mistake" I ever made

I found the zones in Sunken King the easiest, and the bosses in Ivory King the easiest of the 3. All 3 of them are significantly more challenging than the base game. It will depend heavily on your build and playstyle tho.
Depends on your character, probably. Running a melee dark dmg dealer, iron king had some enemies, to whom I did very little dmg. If you are better suited to such enemies, I can see it being very easy, though.

Depends.. area wise. Iron King>Ivory King>Sunken King.
Boss wise Ivory> Sunken> Iron.

Fume Knight is the hardest boss in the game imho. Had the hardest time with him.

But I would go the natural order. So.. Sunken, Iron, Ivory. Every area has some hard elements in it.

But, since you do it with a friend.. doesn't even matter.

Probably differs from person to person. F. Knight was one of the easiest to me, like a slightly harder Smelter Demon, which was one of the easiest in the base game.

To me, Sunken King was by far the easiest.

Maybe you should check out what drops/items you can get from DLCs that might be useful to you and use that to decide

This too, there are some really good items to be found.

I personally found "dropwise" the Majestic greatsword (Iron) the best loot with the bonefist (Ivory) a close second.

If you're playing the game for the full lore/story experience, you want to tackle the DLC after you've spoken with Vendrick, which means you need to get the Ashen Mist Heart first. Otherwise you miss a lot of dialogue. Unless I'm mistaken, returning to him after each completed DLC nets you a little tidbit of information. But if you just go after the fact, it's all "k ur don bye"
