Hippo in Forest of Fallen Giants is gone
So i was farming that ogre by the lake in Forest of Fallen Giants and after like 10 times killing that hippo he disappeared... Will he appear back or is he gone forever?

whats that? i just started ds2 and still kinda noobish
Mobs eventually stop respawning.
CoC is a covenant that increases the difficulty of the game and disables all coop and invasions.
You can use bonfire ascetic on the area bonfire to reset the respawns of enemies but it will increase the difficulty for that area.

Oh god your pic :D cellar master is back.
You join them by touching a stone tablet in Majula (you know those short stairs down? tunnel? well its path next to it)

in majula, next to the undeground passage leading to heides tower of flame, there is a small path by the cliff leading to a gravestone. using the gravestone allows you to enter the covenant

Join the Covenant until you have had enuogh of farming the Ogre then leave when you are ready to continue with the rest of the game. Rinse and repeat at any point where you wish to stop and farm.

No, that doesn't stop invasions. But everything else you wrote is right.

Anyway after farming hippo, which is a complete waste of time, you can just quit the covenant of champions at the cat or join an other covenant. So you won't make the game harder really.

Still no point in farming that hippo.

Well not completely, it did bring me 10k souls, enough to level me up a bit. Tho it does sound like a waste of time indeed xD

you'll get more souls from easier mobs later on. Just skip that hippo ;)

After you beat and reset the same enemy, it will eventually stop appearing (about 16 resets, aprox.) But if you join the Covenant of Champions (is in majula. from the bonfire look to the pit, and you will see three houses a little far away. To the last house on the right, to the right is a road that goes to the right of a cave entrance. You follow that road and at the end you will find a statue, Pray to that statue and you will enter the covenant. WARNING. This make the enemies harder, more resilence and aggressive. Don't worry. You can unbound the covenant via the little cat in one of the houses in majula.
