Best PvE weapons in the game?

So i got my sunsword from longtime farming and it sucks so badly. Im dissapointed. Well im searching now for best melee weapons in the game. Suggestions?

Best weapon differ with every user. You need to try the movesets, if you like it, try it on enemies, and if you like it, you like it. Otherwise you don't.

Battle Axe +10 is fine imo: decent damage, not too slow, kindah light. Well, the range is so so but it's still my favorite weapon since DS1.

Santier's Spear. Stunlocks most enemies with little to no effort.

big bad greatsword, one handed for open space, two handed for corridor, good old fashion spear/ thurst weapons for low ceiling corridor

Masterdon halberd destroy nearly every mob (minus huge ones) in 1 or 2 hit

sunsword is good for PVP, quality build only

Honestly this is going to sound odd, but powerstanced notched whips/poisoned spotted whips absolutely destroy everything. Throw in dual old whips (and the bracing knuckle +2) and you'll murder things like good ole Indy.

Moonlight Sword. 1h is a nice broad sweep with relatively low stamina and high speed for the amount of damage a +5 one can do with some int behind it. Offhand a Staff of Wisdom with four or so Crystal Soul Spears attuned and you've got a pretty serious PvE stomping build.

Mastodon halberd is a good strike/thrust weapon for strength builds 410 damage at +10 and an A str rating been killing most enemies in ng+ with ease on that weapon.

My dual Old Whips +5 with RoB+2 and Flynn's powerstanced hit for as much as some UGS powerstances, often almost 1shotting someone.

Whips arent parryable =D (is the main reason I made an Indiana Jones cosplay)

Im asking about PvE, not PvP.

Best PVE weapon is Mace +10. No infusions. Excellent stat scaling and solid damage. Almost guaranteed one-hit-kill for most enemies if you backstab, even big enemies and DLC enemies, and solid damage for regular hits. Strike damage, so great against heavy armor, decent stamina consumption, and an OK moveset. It's also relatively quick compared to most other hammers, especially greathammers.

That said, I still use it as my sidearm. Though I'm more and more using it regularly as my primary weapon.

The bandit axe is also good on that has a higher poise aswell tho attribute rating is lower on the bandit axe then mace which may make the mace better on the longterm.
