Heide Knight Armor Set
Has the drop rate been significantly nerfed since they moved home?

I managed to get the full set with very little trouble in the original release, but so far today, I've done 26 full clears of heide's tower, with no drops at all (rusted coin and watchdragon parma equipped, no other +loot gear available yet on this character).

Very, very frustrating.

Given that there are more of them and found in NG, it's no wonder the armor is rarer.

Due to their locations in the original release, plus the abundence of ascetics it was fairly trivial to farm them for their set. At the moment I'm at over 130 kills with zero loot. Less than 1% drop chance per piece, and there's 4 pieces. 5 including the sword (I'm aware the lances drop elsewhere at 100% rate) Plus you have to repeatedly kill the knights. And the only way to ensure that they stay spawned is to be in a specific covenant.

Got whole set in NG looking for cracked blue eye orbs. 1 bonfire ascetic.

Is that actually less than a 1% chance?

Has been for me so far. Might just be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG, but it's beyond annoying at this point. They're about my most hated enemies in the game.

I just used a Rusted Coin and got the full set in 10ish kills. I thought they raised the drop rate. Turns out I was just lucky. XP

Yeah, I had 4 more full clears (another 24 knights) with no drops still. Given up for now.

Yep, apparently I was suffering from entirely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG yesterday. Cleared the area out without being in CoC (so 14 spawns of each mob I think, since I killed them all once on my first run thru), ended up with sword, spear, 2 pairs of glove, 2 pairs of legs and 8 helms.

Now I just need 7 more heads.

Wow, 26 full clear......I pity you for your incredible bad luck sir!

Did 10 clears on my caster toon for the souls and got a few pieces...took my knight toon 20ish clears or so to get all of it..using only a like 5 rusted coins.

In the original release, I farmed the Catarina set, which at the time only dropped from one NG+ and above red phantom. I was on bonfire intensity 99 by the time I finished, I have no idea how many kills it actually took. Thankfully that only involved killing one enemy tho.
