I really dont know, sometimes its like they don't. But it's just like when I ignored a ghost.
That too.
It's a cool feature. they are not devs they are people
There is people, I know. However Im sure some are prerecorded ghosts placed to throw you off or put you on track. They have the same armor and have the attack pattern of a npc
Player ghosts will be in whatever gear they were in when the system records the snapshot.
The dev recorded stuff is typically wearing iconic sets from the game(s).
Player ghosts are not in real time, but should be from within a few hours of when you see them...as there is a limited amount of these 'recordings' that will be stored for playback...the new erases the old so to speak.
Well sometimes they confuse me so much, I'll see these ghosts fighting in areas no enemies spawn whatesoever and doing curious things.
I actually once saw a player ghost get up and run up the stairs from the iron keep first bonfire and then went up myself, checked some summon signs and saw the same guy. though tht was pretty cool.
E: also theres the bloodstains. quite a few in majula that show between 1 and 4 ghosts running and jumping off into the sea/down the hole to their deaths. utter sillyness! but funny.
