What's the Deal With The Persuer, Why is he re-appearing?
I killed the Persuer in the Forest of the Giants by summoning an NPC and cheesing him with the mechanical crossbows. Then to my surprise, he re-appeared in the Bastille right there at the start. He killed me a few times so I went back and did No Man's Wharf and came through the Bastille the other way.

Then immediately after the Ruin sentinels... Persuer is back again.

Even if you kill this guy he just keep coming back elsewhere in the game. Is that how its suppossed to work; the guy just keeps coming back regardless of how many times you kill him?

I haven't beaten him one on one in the Bastille. If I do kill him is he still going to re-appear elsewhere? If so then I'll just focus on escaping... I hate fighting that a--hole ;)

Hes shows up at the genderbender coffin in the tutorial area too

He reappears in different forms as a cursed Pursuer, his only existence being to destroy the chosen undead who would usurp the throne.

If you kill him it will just stop him from spawning in the place he died.. he will still appear in all other places

Acording to the japanese translation of the lore surrounding the persuer there is not one persuer, but multible persuers.

This. In NG+, if you go into the throne room in Drangleic Castle, you will have to fight two Pursuers at once, so there is definitely more than one of them.

I'm glad they added so many more instances that you have to fight them.

Asking why the Pursuer keeps pursuing you makes about as much sense as asking why butter has butter in it. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT.

What you talking about? I got that guy in the optional area witha morningstar.

And then he died and tried to have a bunch of hollows finish me off.

At this point he's a Pokemon Elite Trainer because he's killed me every time we've faced off except that time I had some crossbows and a phantom!
