Yep. I do with the tool linked below. Works for both DS3 and DS4 controllers

DS4Windows is the best way to use a DualShock 4 on the PC. it's fantastic.

I am having the same issue. It only doesn't work with dark souls 2:sotfs. Just tried it on borderlands 2 to be sure but no issues there.
im having issues as well, DS2 recognizes my PS4 controller.. however, the in-game camera continuously rotates around the player (bluetooth and wired). Help? Ive tried going into DS4Windows and unbinding the PS4s touch pad and still happening.

It's because a Dual Shock controller is recognized as being two separate devices or you have an actual second controller connected and it is the default device. If that is the case, remove it, if not, it's the first issue. The initial driver for the Dual Shock recognizes it as a Direct Input Device (since Sony doesn't have an official PC driver) and then whatever Xinput wrapper you are using allows Windows to see it as an Xbox 360 Controller. You will see this if you go to your Devices & Printers. You'll see a generic wireless controller and an Xbox 360 Controller. I'm guessing your are using Windows 10 and using DS4 Windows or Input Mapper as your Xinput wrapper. Unfortunately Windows 10 doesn't allow the "Exclusive/Hide DS4" function to work. Both the original Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 recognize the first connected device, so that's why you get the spinning camera and mostly non-functioning inputs; the game is defaulting to the Direct Input device since both games technically support Direct Input. However, because they do not include a Direct Input profile for those games, you'd have to manually configure the inputs from within Windows in order for the controller to work correctly with Direct Input.

I would suggest uninstalling DS4 Windows/Input Mapper (or any other wrapper you might be using) and then use the tool linked below. Both DS4 Windows and Input Mapper used this utility as a base for their development. It's what I use and I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I tried using DS4 Windows/Input Mapper myself and that is the issue I ran into, but the tool below is what I was using prior to those and use now.

Be sure to carefully read everything in the posts from Scarlett Crush. I would also update the version of Zadig included with the package you download from here. You can get it from:

http://zadig.akeo.ie/

Just copy the EXE into the folder where the original EXE is and choose to overwrite it when prompted.

...OR just use an actual X360/Xbox One controller and be done with it :)

Hope all this makes sense and gets you sorted.

make sure it's opening in exclusive mode. it's an option in DS4. Enabling it will make the camera spin sometimes
