What is the buff "reverse human effigy effect"
Hey guys, i just bought the game yersterday and i have a buff under my hp. Its like a grey thing with a red line crossing it. Also, when im in a bonfire it says "reverse the human effigy effect" or something like that.

What is this, and why this happen? also what this does?
Help please :D

It allows for you to be invaded again in that area and for you to summon. If you leave it as is you will not be invaded in that area.

Technically it doesn't prevent you exclusively from multiplayer. It just lowers your priority. So if there is a lot of people around you might still get signs or invaders.

If you're not sure already:

1. You get this buff by burning an effigy at a bonfire. Using the "reverse" action at the bonfire will remove the effect early (adding you back into the "main" multiplayer pool)

2. You don't reverse hollow by burning the effigy. You use it from the item menu (similar to the humanity items in DS1)

Whenever you kill the boss of an area, you are granted 30 minutes of lower priority of invasion by other players as Red Phantoms in that area. You also can burn a human effigy in the bonfire to be granted this immunity at any time. Reversing the effect at the bonfire cancels the invasion protection.

it also removes all coop btw! so no white signs as long as this is active

Damn, but i like to help people at bosses, its ok if i have lower invasion rate, but not the friendly summons :(

@Kapipoulas, it prevents phantoms from being summoned into your world or being invaded.

You should still be able to lay down your summon sign and get summoned for coop by others.

I earned most of my sunlight medals under this "buff", was able to help lots of others with bosses (37 sunlight medals so far)
