I got as far as Dragon Aerie before my mouse controls completely shut down. I can manage to use light attacks but cannot lock on, switch weapons or use heavy attacks as well as my character continuously encounter auto walk which lasts a good 10-15 secs before just randomly turning off.
I've tested my mouse repeatedly on other games such as Skyrim, Warframe and Battlefield 3 and 4. My mouse does not seem to be the issue but rather some script in the game or something. I feel your pain man
Ok I'll just treat it like a 360 controller and find a fix.
The problem has got to do with the incredibly insane programming of the DS2 mouse controls. The game waits for a double click input and only if there is none will it after a given time react to the single click which results in noticeable lag of course. However the devs were kind enough to provide keyboard keys for the attack animations, which can be mapped to the mouse via AutoHotkey.
This is of course old news but I fixed my problem with vanilla DS2 so long ago that I forgot and Scholar of the First Sin reset all your settings including a crucial step in getting the Script to work.(meaning setting all your mouse settings in the DS2 ingame config to "nothing")
Long story short I suggest looking at this:

Read the whole damn thing, it's really informative, though a bit badly typeset maybe. It still works as described. I suggest going with the Default AHK, it takes a little getting used to but is generally quite nice. I bound "Interact" to the "b"-key because it doesn't interfere with the AutoHotkey-script and because I can reach it while having my fingers on WASD. Also right next to it is the "n"-key which causes dual wield(not sure if "q" is used in any way, now that I think of it). "n" is also the equivalent of "y" on your game pad for switching different activatable things and some menus stuff.
I have read your contribution for the mouse fix for Dark Souls 2. I have the fixed Dark Souls 2 with AutoHotkey. I have now DS2 SotfS DX11 version and it no longer works. Can you help me there I got the http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkSouls2/comments/23zq0s/mousekeyboard_fix/ formerly used now does not work anymore. I have at the options for mouse done everything to nothing but brings nothing? Sry for bad English

Maybe that helps. Take a look at the Known issues and FIXES. Again, I suggest reading the entire thing and make sure you've done everything correctly. Because I can't really help you if all the information you give me is "it doesn't work". Just make sure you didn't make any mistakes and come back with more specific info if you need.
