Forlorn invader

Alright, so i think i got this figured out. This invader is a "rare event" since his spawn is random. I know of a few places that he will spawn:

Ruined Forked Road Bonfire: Run into the forest till you get foggy, wait a bit and run back to bonfire, rest and try again till he spawns. Took me 13 trips back and forth.

Exile Holding cells: Run to where the heide knight used to be and he invades in this area

Huntsmans Copse: At the second bonfire run thrugh the area like you normally would, but instead turn left after the bridge where theres a flame hollow standing. run towards a tree that has a lootable body nearby and a moonlight butterfly.

He also invades in eleyum loyce at the part where there are balistas. Turn left like you would normally progress through the area like its your first run of the dlc. He invades in the sheltered area with a chest in a dead end.

I heard that he spawns in Brightstone cove, and second bonfire at shrine of amana aswell but never seen him there. And i also don't know anyother spawn locations for him.

He showed up in Lost Bastille for me. Unfortunately, I died before meeting him :(

Played it around 30 hours and he envaded me only once - on the bridge leading from Bastille to Sinner's Rise.

he should invade you again in those areas where he evaded you if you're lucky enough to get invaded at all xd didn't see him once on my first playthrough.

this ♥♥♥♥ only showed up in huntsmans copse and earthen peak for me..finished the whole game with dlcs

So, you should be in human form for him to invade you or it doesn't matter ? Cuz iirc in DS2 NPC invades you in any form.

It doesn't matter, when i was running through Eleum Loyce i got invaded by him while hollow. And he can invade through the Human Effigy effect. I think all NPC invaders can - only blocks Player invasions.

DS1 had it so you cant be invaded when hollow, DS2 allows you to be invaded at any time in any condition.

Is it possible for forlorn to keep respawning in the same area, even if he is killed once at the said area before?

I do not know if he can invade in the same area but if you didn't get invaded, try resting at a bonfire and running around a bit if he doesn't invade rest again and do this until he invades. I would do this in the areas i mentioned because i know for a fact he invades in those areas.

Forlorn is really a useless invader, respawnable type enemies have stop respawning, and yet only 1 encounter with forlorn. Why they increased pursuer encounters and not forlorn :(

Well, the forlorn is acutally called "Forlorn" so you would've noticed if it's him.
From what I can tell, he can pretty much invade you everywhere.
But as far as I know, you have to trigger him, I could not get him to invade me, UNLESS I had the the first invasion in Hunstmans Copse.
So it seems like this is the first time you got to see him. I pretty much tried every other spot I got him to invade me, but nothing unless that one in Copse happened.

Also, after each successful kill, you can buy another one of his gear at Straids.

my first forlorn encounter was in Lost Bastille, just outside of mcduff's spot, so there's no 'fixed' first encounter, I think.

To be fair the only areas that the Pursuer pops up is 5 times in the Bastille and once in Things Betwixt, apart from the obvious 2 spots in FotFG, in Drangleic Castle Throne room after popping an ascetic and in the same area you fight Smelter Demon, which is kind of irritating. I was expecting him to pop up in more places scaled to the areas difficulty.
