Nullifying human effigy effect?

I happend to see this option while rest at bone fire, It appeared with "remaining times" and while I'm wondering what it is, it ended its count and disappeared. never seen from then.

anyone got clue?

When you burn a human effigy at a bonfire, it'll disable most online features for 30 minutes (Namely, you can't see summon signs, and invaders can't invade you. I'm not sure if this also counts for the belfry grey phantoms and rat covenant 'abduction', but it probably does).

As of a patch a small while ago, you now also automatically get this when you defeat a major boss in your area, counting towards that location for the next 30 minutes of play time. Nullify the effect turns those online features back on.
