How do people hide their red/gray/golden phantom auras and look like hosts?

It's in the frigid outskirts and acquiring it is about as fun as paying someone to rip out your trachea.

Nah, it's not THAT difficult to get. Just gotta learn location a bit (youtube helps). In fact you get there in 3 sprints and only during the last one you'll get attacked by reindeers non stop.

Summon phantoms, sprint to the building on the right of the summoning zone, wait inside or really close to it until blizzard calms down.
Sprint to the large ruins in the center of the map, you'll most likely get 1 reindeer on you/phantoms, just go inside and kill it (note: phantoms are dumb and may ruin it if they'll keep fighting outside), wait until blizzard calms down again and sprint to the edge of the cliff where the ring is, usually you'll get attacked by 2 reindeers by time you'll get there, but phantoms help, if not, just roll through.
Wear stamina regen items and no armor/low weight armor for faster stamina regen and longer rolls.
It may look tough to get at first, but after some practice it's actually pretty easy, pretty much 2 mins run if everything goes well.

may explain why i've seen a Siegelinde of Catarina red phantom who looked like an ordinary player, i was pretty confused about it being an event i messed up

dark souls top 10 best traps :) and at one point a host makes a friend of his invader dress exactly same and use that ring to hide phantom aura xD and a spell buff too to imitate host's aura thingy too....then boom, bass cannon xD
THIS IS AT NUMBER 4 spotlighted trap :)
i imagine number 3 is also fun maybe mixed with the ring to hear enemy players's microphones haha lol...

but idk there was a clip but i forgot in wihch i saw,a red invader used lightning in a tunnel to kill both the host and white summon phantom , he just aimed down at water lol ( was it in Dark souls 2 or ds1?or it works in both games?hmm :D does anyone know please :D )

Found it by accident while being lost. U jelly covetous demons?
