How can I obtain Lingering Dragoncrest Ring +2 ?
I heard about this ring obtained through defeat 1000 invading Red Phantoms online.Is it a only way to win this ring? What about killing them offline?

NPC Invaders technically count towards the ring-- so if your ideal method of farming 1,000 Red Phantoms was to fight NPCs, I assume (don't quote me on this, I haven't seen an actual confirmation 100%) that the Mad Warrior in Belfry Sol counts. Which means clearing out the Belfry and the room directly under it of all enemies until they despawn and then using the Unveil strategy to farm the Mad Warrior would be to your benefit.

Addendum: I was wrong, the Mad Warrior is not farmable for the ring. According to this post[fextralife.com], and other posts that can be found with a simple Google search, the phantoms only count if you actually get the "invaded by" message.

- Invader must be a dark phantom (not summoned).

- Player must inflict a final blow against invader (suicide or poison kill doesn’t count). So, invader must be exiled.

- Invader can be offline too.

Eh, sorry to necro, but is it confirmed that offline kills still count? A lot of people insist that you need online player kills for the ring.
