Good Beginner Build?
I'm just wondering what a good beginner build is OTHER THAN A TANK, im not amazing at this game and the 40 hours on Dx9 is messing around in the beginning and with SotFS I'm going to try.
Reason for not being a Tank is because my friend and I are playing together and he's a tank/cleric, healer.
and by beginner I mean whats a somewhat easy build but still shows the fullness and experience of Dark souls.

Thank you for taking the time for reading and responding to this :D

Thanks!
If you want a melee build a Warrior/Knight can be nice. If you pick up the craftsmans hammer in McDuff's shop in Lost Bastille it does a TON of damage. I beat the whole game using that and the Flame Weapon Pyromancy.
speaking of pyromancy where do you get the pyromancy hand
I always found tanking harder due to certain bosses having so much poise/bleed through damage. You can dodge everything with good timing but you can't block everything. That video is actually pretty good starter build. Keep your equipment load low for long roll distance and eventually get your adp up to get decent agility for faster healing item/iframes and practice dodging. Dodging plus following up with a 2 handed club hit during enemy recovery time will get you a long way.
Pyromancy flame is located in the room right after you beat the Boss of "No Man's Warf". Dark Pyromancy flame is located in the Gutter inside some vases following the left path.
Thank you Rasceal!!!
One tip regardless of your build: pump AGL (agility) until you get ADP (adaptability) up to 100 to get decent invincibility-frames when rolling. Early on, when allocating points, put about 1/2 of points into AGL until you reach that 100 ADP goal. After you reach 100 ADP and you have all the ATN (attunement) that you want, you can put more points into AGL until you reach 105 ADP (where you get a bit more iframes still). You want to end up with either 100 ADP or 105 ADP. If you have some other amount of ADP that's wasted points. If you level up very high, you can maybe reach 115 ADP for a small benefit, but 105 is good enough IMO.

Also keep in mind you can always use a soul vessel & re-make your stats, so it takes a lot of the stress out of making a build. Keep all items that you find & put unused ones into storage, because you might want to change to a different build later.

20 Vigor at first (25-30 if you are completely new / casual to soul series) then pick anything you want.
