Dragon Tooth is best PVE utility tool

+ Best moveset among all the greathammers completed with great scaling and damage;
+ Strike does bonus damage to majority of mobs and bosses;
+ Running overhead smash is great for killing crystall lizards without missing;
+ Pancaking is the best way to cheese these nasty NPC enemies with their bs cheated stats;
+ Pancaking with Stone Ring is the best way to cheese ice reindeers;
+ Pancaking render Leideye (?) Pyromancers completely harmless even without killing them;
+ It's pretty long and overhead strikes can reach enemies above you (on the ladder, like example);
+ Ignites the powder if you have nothing better (minor, but still).

Each single of these things are cover much less utility than a single Dragon Tooth does.

I've said "DT is best utility tool", not "DT is things that render everything else useless".

Because you don't use it right. Katana is meant to smack people with, but good luck repeating all things listed in my post as good with it. Tooth is actually not very good against real people, because it's slow.

Just use powestance if you wanna stun enemies. Stone ring more useful for fast weapons, like twinblades or powerstance straight swords, rather then increasing great hammers poise damage from 50 to 55.

Sure, its not straight sword running attack spam, but its Greathammer + Dagger setup are quite effective.

Never had problems with durability, i don't even need brace ring and repair spell/powder. In any way i have 2 dragon tooths just in case and in first playthroughs you don't need more than single one.

I don't need to stun all the enemies, only the ones which are pain to deal with otherwise. You've heard how people do hate ice horses, or NPC invaders. I hate them as well.

Didn't tried to powerstance Dragon Teeth yeat, because it would take much more level ups for str, but i would try it, thanks. I feel i still will fail with powerstance though, it takes A LOT of stamina for unsignificant damage increase and NPC enemies love to commit input read rolls, remember how Jester Tomas rolls out of 80% of your strikes.

I use stone ring only for pancake breakpoints. Ice horses (at least on first 2 playthroughs) require a quick strike before R2 to be pancaked, but with Stone Ring on they are pancaked on first.

I see you added things like "durability", "multiple weapons set up", i have to explain that when i've said tool, i've meant exactly that - a tool, i don't use it 100% of times against everything on the level, i take it out when its time comes. I only use it as main way to deal damage when i roleplay as Havel.

Did you tried to click second R2?

Most useful "utility" weapons are always been the same across the series - bows and all kinds of poison damage.
