Is it normal that the bosses are getting reused as normal mobs?
The Game is different than the other souls games and I knew that it's pretty much the most hated. I still liked it so far though. Something I really dislike however is that the bosses are getting respawned as normal mobs. I barely manage to kill them as the bosses and now they are just normal mobs which even respawn? I'm currently at the Lost Sinner and besides of that the boss is already hard, I still have to fight the Flexile Sentry and all the zombies. How am I supposed to this? Should I go somewhere else first? I'm lvl 40 and I have only one or two estus left when arriving at the fog gate. What should I do? This Game just seems immensely harder than DS1 and Elden Ring and it starts to make less fun the further I progess tbh.

I played DS1 and Elden Ring and found Elden Ring to be the easiest.

The Flexile Sentry at Sinner's Rise is much weaker and simply walking past it is also an option. And while you can try tackle other areas, Bastille/Lost Sinner is balanced more for beginners.

Re-using bosses to use as normal mobs later is definitely not different, than other souls games. It's weird, you'd point out re-cycled bosses-as-normal-mobs specifically for DS2, if you ever played any other FromSoft game. Elden Ring especially loves to do this.

If you find DS2 harder, than you probably haven't noticed, how Melentia sells infinite Lifegems, once she moves to Majula. Or how OP shields were in other soulsgames; It's not any different for DS2.

One thing you apparently haven't noticed yet is that enemies have limited lives, if you kill them 12 times they will despawn permanently. So with just a little bit of perseverence you'll have zero resistance on the run back to a boss eventually. ("Don't give up, skeleton!" and all that)

(It's not ALWAYS 12, tougher enemies might have fewer lives and some enemies needed for puzzles have infinite lives)

There's also a couple things you can do in the area to make things easier, like unlocking the cell doors above the big door to get a shortcut that doesn't alert all the exploding mummies to your location, and lighting up the boss room using a torch to avoid the darkness... (but all of that needs a key you may or may not have found in the main bastille area)

There's a couple other places you can go to if you want a change of scenery, like the tunnel to Heide's Tower has an alternate path that can be activated once the cleric tutor you met in Heide moves to Majula, and the only thing stopping you from entering the big hole is fall damage, but the talking cat happens to sell a ring that reduces fall damage which lets you go in there before you unlock the intended solution. Also the path with the guy with the big sword which is blocked by a petrified person can be opened with a regular Fragrant Branch of Yore.

Elden Ring has 8 Unique bosses that are used 1 time only through out the game. All the other bosses get reused everywhere. Surely this must be bait?

How You can point out Dark Souls 2 reused bosses as enemies but don't mention Elden Ring reused enemies as bosses and vice versa? Elden Ring has like 6 or 7 unique bossess.

You don't need to fight everything, every time. Learn how to run to bosses as efficient as possible if you struggle with clearing area.

Weird topic, considering they reusing bosses as enemies almost all the time.
In DS1 one location filled with two bosses that you fighted before. DS2 love to reuse Pursuer and Dragonrider. DS3 put Dragonslayer in DLC just for giggles.

Vanguard isn't scripted. You can beat Vanguard, people do it all the time.

doesn't count
Of course it does. Just like how i'd count Grafted Scion in ER. It's named, got a boss arena, boss music and rewards the player for beating it with. It even drops a titular demon soul. It is a boss in a videogame. One, that is later re-used and just plonked into an area randomly, with no fanfare.
Being another FromSoft trope (boss where dying to also moves the game forward) doesn't change anything. Not counting it seems arbitrary.

Vanguard isn't scripted, it doesn't matter if a player is new or old.

It's part of the actual game. Skipping it is optional on replays. This is somewhat nonsense argument since we all can physically see the boss when we play.

I've seen new players beat it on Twitch. It's an insanely easy boss for certain starting characters, and especially easy for people that have played other Souls games before Demon's Souls.
