Why is my Greatsword of the Forlorn doing this?
I meet all the requirments, so why is the damage getting dropped so much?? Am I totally missing something?

the forlorn sword is scaling with hollowing.
Visi Jul 18, 2015 @ 2:24pm
You're human, most likely. You have to be fully hollow, otherwise the Forlorn weapons receive a negative modifier like that.

Extremely lame and disappointing, I know.
Chael Jul 18, 2015 @ 2:26pm
but if you are human its still making good damage.

Well ♥♥♥♥... I guess I won't use any effigys for a while. Thank you guys

Because all Forlorn's weapons are trash.
Locke Jul 18, 2015 @ 3:33pm
It's not trash people, it's designed to be a pvp weapon, primarily used by people who summon red phantoms or dragon remanents.

Except that you can't invade while hollow. So that big, important, very central Souls aspect is essentially unavailable while using this weapon. Pretty funny considering that you acquire the set + weapons from an NPC invader, and he sure as hell doesn't have the pitiful AR of those weapons when human.

He means for people who drop those signs. Which you can do hollow.

Yes, I know. I'd say that a weapon that is only really viable for half of the PVP spectrum and severely limits your character in your own world is trash.

You don't want to face invaders with your health halved, believe me.
Leviathan Jul 19, 2015 @ 9:49am
the lower ur HP while being hollowed, the more dmg
Locke Jul 19, 2015 @ 10:08am
Also Vanilla, you run it with the Ring of Binding, Life ring +3, and the Third Dragon Ring, so you aren't even close to half health.
Locke Jul 19, 2015 @ 10:10am
Plus Visi, it's also used in both the Blue Sentinels and the Blood covenants' pvp arenas, which makes it extremely viable in pvp if you want to rank up in those covenants becuase it is probably one of the most overpowered pvp wepaons in the game, along with the Scythe of the Forlorn.
