Can't access the door right before Last Giant with the Antiquated key

Am I missing something? I could've sworn that you needed the Antiquated key to unlock that door.

Thats the wrong key, you need one from iron keep , whatever its called.

You can also try a plunge atack on one of the salamandas if you feel like you have a lot (and I realy mean a lot) of hp and the cat ring from the cat in majula, alternativly you can jump on the scarefolding (with the ring equipt) and make your way down that way. The salamandas are ery annoying tho, so you might want to wait until you have the key...maybe even a little longer (depending on your gameprogress route and build)

Best way to jump down carefully and actually survive, is to kill salamanders first with a bow. The second salamanders will spawn only when you touch the ground, but you can still kill from distance with a bow without being shot.
