Anything better than the Drangleic Sword?
I just beat the Lost Sinner and I've been maining the Drangleic Sword for a while. I like its damage and its moveset, but I hesitant to upgrade it because I've heard twinkling titanite is rare and I don't want to waste it if something better comes along. Is there another similar kind of sword up ahead with better base damage or better scaling?

its as good as any weapon, as long as you use the right rings/Stats/ Infusion to maximise its damage

upgrade it, its gonna carry you throught almost the entire ng gameplay and btw twinkling titanite isn't that rare, is easy to farm and chunk titanite gives far more trouble to find xD now petrified dragon bones takes a more time to farm because the drop rate is lower but you can use without fear also not hard to farm

I used the Drangleic Sword for most of my first playthrough, though I think You'd be better off saving your twinkling titanite for something else. It also depends on where you're planning to go with your stats.

At 50 strength and 50 dexterity, the Mirrah Greatsword has the same moveset, longer reach, but 5 less damage.

Alternatively, for a 50/50 qauality build, you could try the Murakumo. It deals much higher damage than any of the greatswords, with an attack rating of 495 without any damage increasing spells or rings.

It's a good sword and worth the upgrade, if you ask me. The game balanced the weapons really well, especially in terms of damage. Yes, there are more damaging weapons, and if you are the type to min/max then you might be happier with a different sword, such as the Watcher Greatsword or the Drakeblood Greatsword. After hours of playing this game, you start to learn not worry too much about weapons...I'm happy with a Hand Axe, at times. Hope that helps. Ask me anything...I've put a lot of time into this game!
