The Heide knight chainmail...

How rare is the Heide Knight chainmail suppose to be? I managed to snag one on one playthrough after endless effort grinding with the CoC ring on but another playthrough they don't seem to be dropping it but I'm picking up plenty Awestones which I suppose are phantom drops when in the CoC vovenant.

Farming it atm. Cleared the whole area on ng in my friends world and mine. 3gauntlets, 2 leggins, 1 chainmail, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of swords, not a single helmet.

Used an ascetic right now, and almost killed them to the point of not respawning again and all i got was 1 gauntlet and 3 swords, 1 chainmail. Still no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helmet. I use jesters hat, prisoner rags and the serpent ring+2, sometimes even with rusty coins.

It's just random, I got the whole set on NG at the Tower with no ascetic recently.

you know... for the low levels, you could always get an agape ring and get in the covenant of champions and farm that way.

Hows it with leaving and going back into another covenant. Let's say the heirs of sunbro.

Do i get any drawbacks like in DS1, where you lost some of your rank when re-entering?

Yeah I'm aware it's random. The RNG system is funny. Some runs will yield better luck than others. I can't get a chainmail drop and you can't get a helmet drop. You have a chainmail and I have like 5 helmets lol

I've got all the old knight pieces and heide knights, just not the damn chainmail which is the only piece I want to wear for ascetics, and the gauntlets. I have the Watchdragon Parma and the Traveling Merchant's hood on to boost my luck but it seems like the giant knights are more frequently dropping cracked blue orb stones which I have like 60 of now and Palestones. Every so often an Awestone too.
