Opening Cinematic not playing on Windows 10.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and decided to start a new game. One problem: The opening cutscene is just a black screen with no sound, and you have to skip it by pressing Start. I verified my game cache and it said all files were validated. Any tips?

Specs: i5 CPU, R9 290x GPU, 8GB RAM

Have you tried opening the movie file in the .../game/movie folder? If it doesn't play outside of the game it may be another issue.

It plays just fine in Media Player, but not in the game.

Weird. Most relevant help article I could find was this:

2nd workaround might work for you.

You should check that you have all the latest drivers (graphics card especially). I have windows 10 and the opening cinematics work just fine

Upgrade to Windows 7 :thumb:

No way if you have to revert back to a windows revert back to 8.1 . Anyways windows 10 works great if you have the compatible drivers. I even doubt this issue is windows related.

Gotta agree, had zero issues with Win 10. As you say a driver or video codec conflict is the most likely culprit here.
