Navlaan's Quest
So yesterday I did a dumb thing and released Navlaan, in my very first playthrough ever of DS2. The realization kicked in only when he invaded me near the Guardian Dragon fog gate.

I have accepted my fate and will be sure to get the pyromancy and sorcery associated with his assassination requests in NG+.

But here's what I am wondering: I will go into NG+ with a number of items required for his questline, such as the Aged Feather and Sunset Staff. These will already be present in my inventory when I go to talk to him for the 'first' time. If he asks you to go kill Felkin, can you then immediately talk to him again as you already own the item he needs? Or do you have to walk away, reload the level, and return?

You can just talk to him again with the required item in you inventory. no need to leave and come back or anything.
Bonus points: after completing the quest, release and kill him :)

The Aged Feather I believe counts as a key item that the game takes away from you upon ascending to the next NG+ cycle. I can't personally confirm this though so take that with a hefty grain of doubty salt.

Or perhaps maybe it was the Ladder Miniature? That thing counts as a key item so perhaps that gets removed.

The feather stays, the ladder gets the axe, no worries, only 7k souls or teaching that fatso who da boss, either way you don't lose.

7K souls will be pocket change in NG+ so no loss there when I purchase the miniature (again). Don't feel like killing auld Gilligan...he's a crook, but he is an amicable crook. Plus, someone or something else will get to him eventually, and leave him stretched out in the Profaned Capital.

Just made it back to Navlaan in NG+, and indeed: entire quest completed in one go. Phew, that's one less thing to worry about :).
