Curved Greatswords
There are 4 different Curved Greatswords in this game. Did anyone used one of them for a longer time and was really surprised by it´s performance?

Cause I can´t decide which one I would like to try out for pvp. The dragon greatsword has the best damage for me but the shortest range which can be crucial against good opponents, but it still can parry while beeing 2h. The Nil greatswords sounds interesting, but I not shure if it can parry and if it would be a good choice for pvp.

So any suggestions, opinions or experiences? :)

You can try the Marukumo, it is considered the best curved greatsword. It has good moveset (outside of the 2h r1) and it can parry like many other weapons when 2 handed.

Arced Sword > Murakumo

Not really, maybe at really high levels arced sword is better. But at low/mid levels (especially 150) marukumo is better since its lighter and requires little stat investment to do good damage where as arced sword you need to take full advantage of both scaling to do comparable damage.

Acred Sword swings faster and consumes less stamina, the damage is just about the same on both.
That level 150 thing is irrelevant, lol

They both have the exact same moveset, arced sword does not swing faster. The level 150 is not irrelevant as its where most player who pvp resides at.

It's definitely irrelevant to me, as this game was not designed to cap at 150.
Made up by some lazy people who didn't want to invest the time it takes to reach 300 or so as you should be in stats.

So, for Me, Acred Sword is the better option, plus it looks pimp.

Arced sword doesn't swing faster if I recall though I could be wrong there. Kumo has better base damage so you get more damage out of it infused compared to arced sword. Obviously the differen't isn't that much, the only thing is sets arced sword back is its weight and it also consumes more stamina not less to swing an arced sword.

150 May not be relevant to you but it is still where most of the playerbase are at and I am assuming the OP is playing at around that range. There aren't much difference between the two weapons but as the above advantage I mentioned that Kumo has over arced sword definitely makes it better for anything that isn't high level.

My cup of tea - is Arced Sword. Awesome look, smooth moveset, any atack can be used as parry bait. The main difference between Murakumo and AS - Murakumo has more base damage but lover scales. Also, Murakumo's weight is 18 against AS 14. Curved Nil Greatsword also fun to use, so if You do not like parryes, then You're welcome.

Curved Nil Greatsword scales with your total playthroughs (NOT bonfire ascetics, but actual, genuine completions of the game), and can't parry (It's 2hl2 is replaced by an attack, like the Majestic Greatsword's Jump attack and the Fume UGS' slam attack.), but that said it's still pretty powerful. I like it because it has that slowed down version of the Red Rust Scimitar's one-handed moveset (And maybe the normal Falchion's?), and reminds me of how Curved Gswords were in the first game. I used to hate the way they move at first, but now It's something I can't live without <3

Also, I should mention, the Curved Dragon Greatsword (Or whatever it's called), is a pretty fun weapon. It's strong attack is a wind slash or something or other and goes in a pretty good sweep, good for catching rollers off guard on the bridge or people in a group.
