Any place where Darknight Stones are relatively common?

I don't have the ones from Chloanne, and am trying out a hexer build, and have yet to find a Darknight Stone. Anyone have a suggestion?

I collect Smooth & Silky Stones from co op all game long and trade them in. I regularly get all kinds of infusion stones from them and have never needed to go farming anywhere for them. They drop from Basilisks and Leydia Pyromancers.

There's a Crystal Lizard in the lower part of Grave of Saints (on the bridge) that drops one. Outside of that, try basilisks.

I remember some frogs dropping them, maybe in things betwixt (estus shard chamber) or whatever. Try killing frogs and see what they drop.

Yeah, I got that one and felt so happy. xD The closest I've gotten out of Basilisks are the Firedrake Stones, maybe unlucky? THanks anyways.

raise item discovery and farm basilisks in shaded woods. Won't take long.

The bonfire to reset that lizard is the same one as the royal rat vangaurd, so you could kill the boss repeatedly and drop down to get the lizard on one asthetic each trip.

Probably easier to just join the covenant of champions and farm the basilisk by the shaded woods first bonfire. A single darknight stone is probably not worth an ascetic.
