Espada ropera or Ice rapier?
JI'm going Str and Dex build, currently lvl 170+ and have 55 dex and 50 str....i'm thinking of getting a rapier for my off hand ( my main hand is the red iron twinblade with poison infusion) which rapier would be better, and with which infusion?

The ice rapier has better scaling for your stats.
Unless you plan on also increasing your int/fth I would keepd them uninfused.

Ice rapier is better. Less weight and therefore less stamina consumption, the soul-spear like heavy attack. Infused with magic even without at buff at your level it is a beast

At least the Espada Ropera is not that overused...

Int doesn't matter for ice rapier it is boss on any build really... for 1.5 weight and hardly any dex + str needed it does has over 350 total AR

Just don't expect alot of love if you use it in pvp. That said, it is good to have on board if some buffed longsword/katana/rapier-using guy summons you

Some people will judge you based on the gear you use, calling you a dishonourable tryhard. Just ignore them.

It doesn't matter if you do pve or pvp, use whatever build or gear you want. Only the :steamsalty: tryhards will whine about what you use.
Some people complain that random people they invade don't bow and have an "honourable duel" like medieval knights or something. They will try to limit the gear you are allowed to use, what items you can use, some will even cry about parrying!
Again, just ignore them and play the game the way you want to.
To summarize the topic, the ice rapier is probably superior for your build.

:P

Using them is frowned upon. The Ice Rapier is kinda OP and the Red Iron Twinblade is a beast of a weapon (but easy to parry).

To be honest, it's not much fun fighting against them, but if you like them, use them. Who cares? You'll enjoy your hate-friend-requests. I use the Ice Rapier when I invade as a Blue Sentinel because I like to annoy and grief sinners (I'm a Wretch, too...). They (We) deserve it.

well, I have to ask if you want damage or utility.

If your primary concern is damage, go with the ice rapier since it has a really high AR and the speed that is the trademark of rapiers in this game

If your primary concern is utility, go for the Espada Ropera as you still have the same speed that rapiers are known and loved/hated for and it gives you the option to parry if you think you can land them.
