Best infuse for pure STR is no infuse. The only reason you'd infuse raw is if you just barely met the stat reqs to hold the weapon, or the weapon has poor scaling, such as a great axe, or bandit great axe. Once your STR hits 40, as long as your weapon has good STR scaling, infusing it will only harm it, generally speaking. Boss weapons can be an exception in alot of cases.
Raw is good for a crossbow infuse, as it just adds more physical damage. If you plan on using alot of elemental bolts though, you might look towards infusing it with the proper elemental type. Such as a lightning crossbow, with lightning bolts for max lightning damage.
I don't even meet the requirement for Blinding Bolt (I used the Skeptic's Spice) and it does an easy 400-700 damage per hit. Anytime an opponent tries to put some distance between us, I use it.
WotG is an excellent bait/trap miracle. After a backstab/riposte/guard break, hit the WotG right as they stand up, and they rarely dodge it. It rarely does less than 900 damage!
Sunlight Spear can be used in much the same way. I also used Sunlight Spear to punish magic users, since very few are buffed against lightning, it usually does 700 - 1000 damage. Perfect for Dark Fog and Scraps of Life: as soon as they cast, just fire away.
Force is actually extremely useful. Hitting an unguarded opponent with force guarantees two hits. Smart shield users that roll away from guard breaks can still be broken with Force spam. And of course, it is one of the best defenses against no damage/infinite health hackers (Force them off a ledge).
Finally, Great Magic Barrier, Great Heal, and Sunlight Blade are always a must!
I roll with six attunement slots, two of which come from the Soouthern Band.
I do really well in PVP, and I would definitely not consider myself an elite competitor. I usually only lose to laggers, over-leveled players, and the truly elite. ;D
