Ok, thanks!
Thast wrong - it can cast both sorceries and hexes
Oh? could swear it couldnt but anyway its slower and too focused on hexes to be worth it for a generical caster
I use two staffs. Sunset staff infused with dark for hexes (S Scaling), Staff of wisdom infused with magic for spells (again S Scaling). Black Witch staff is very good and versatile, but the dark infused sunset staff is devastating with hexes.
I might try that idea, although the idea of one staff for everything sounds nice.
Why not just use both? You won't necessarily need to use all spell types at every phase of the game and there are lots of materials to farm. To give you an idea of how powerful the sunset staff is, at 24 dex and int with the staff fully upgraded and infused with dark my dark orb damage per shot is 519, 319 from staff, 200 from dark modifier! It is one of the most useful tools for clearing mobs and also great with boss battles.
