Best SM for invasions/PvP?

I know it's not anywhere as active as it used to be, but I'd like to do some invasions to capture some nostalgia.

I'd say just play the game and don't grind. Specially if you're after covenant spells for the 100% achievements

with that said, man...SM sucks so much I'm happy they dropped it after DS2

2.5-3.5 million, no more, this number will appear anyway if you finish the game and all DLC's. Invading woudln't be a problem up to the 8 million but higher you go the more you would have to wait, I suggest you to install blue acolyte, it will make you search in all locations simultaneously.

On lower sm there is a high chance for sun broing, higher memory players tends to not call phantoms.

Rat's covenant is dead.

Iron keep and Eleum loyce bridges are mostly dead, you can try a red sign or dragon sign but generally no one makes tournaments there anymore

Blue arena and blue invaders are practically relics, or at least I can't find any blue players.

Brotherhood of blood is pretty active, but that depends on time of day, the place has more or less skillful players, so if you know how PVP works here, BOB would be a best bet, there are no restrictions on arena so game would matchmake you with whoever is right now searching, so you might go against overleveled characters.

Luna active but on lower memory, Sol is pretty much dead, but it sometimes can have players, mostly a mad warrior grinders.

40k with blue acolyte. Because with it you can supposedly invade anyone higher than you, not just higher and within range. Like DS1 (not the demastered version).

Blue Acolyte does indeed feature infinite upwards matchmaking. If you would like, you should hit the following stat breakpoints:

50VGR
20END
Enough ATN/ADP to hit 96AGL
Minimum stats to use your weapons of choice, then infuse that weapon. Make sure your gear and weapons are upgraded to +5/+10.

Those are the minimum stats I would recommend to start invading with upwards matchmaking. Also very important to hit elemental resistances of 250 for each element. You can view this on your equipment screen by pressing Y/Triangle twice.

honestly i would be less harsh about how scholar was a useless edition if they just removed soul memory

I have good fun at 11mio. Blue acolyte lets you search for invasions in every area.

What makes you say Scholar was a useless edition?

I haven't played base DS2 since it came out, and I played scholar heavily in the first couple years of it's release, and off and on ever since so safe to say I have far more experience in Scholar.

That's sad to hear about the bridge, I have a lot of good memories spending hours in fight clubs, chasing down FC griefers into the keep, griefing FCs myself haha.
