you not understanding a stat =/= that stat being useless
Knight = More poise, lighter.
The game mechanics are different and you do not attack or parry near as fast as you did in DS1. Which is fine for game balance.
It doesn't, but since it has been slowed down, other game mechanics had to be tweaked to compensate. I think that the addition of the Adaptability stat changed how many things were supposed to function in DS2.
But then, this is an argument from the days following the dx9 version's release. Kind of pointless to harp on about it now, since DS3 looks to be going back to Demon's Souls mechanics.
