DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin

Most powerful character in Dark Souls 2 (Lore wise)
Who do you think is the most powerful character in Dark Souls 2?

1. Vendrick: apparently we can assume he was a former chosen undead. He defeated the 4 old ones and build Drangleic. He even came close breaking the undead curse. No one has ever done that before.

2. The Giant Lord: he brought his army to Drangleic and completely annihilated the kingdom. By the time he was defeated, little Vendrick has already haul his ♥♥♥ in Undead Crypt so the battle between the two never happened.

3. Fume Knight: Velstadt defeated Raime and tell him to git gud, so he throw away the turtle shield and start duel wielding. Now powered up by fume, Im pretty sure he can destroy the royal aegis.

4. Ivory King: somehow this character reminds me of Artorias. Artorias went into the Abyss, Ivory King went into the Old Chaos. Artorias left behind his Ciaran and Ivory King left behind Alsanna. We both fought their corrupted version: Artorias broke his arm and mind, while Ivory King had 3rd degree burn.

5. Aldia Scholar of the First Sin: without his help Vendrick would not be able to build Drangleic. He also came close to break the undead curse too. And he is the final optional boss.

6. Bearer of the curse: many people will say that all the fights happens when the bosses are not in their best shape. But remember we defeated The Giant Lord in his prime time in memory of Giants. So we are pretty powerful ourselves.

7. The Falconers: these ♥♥♥♥ers can parry my 2-handed great hammer then proceed to face stab me. I still have nightmares

Honorable mentions: Sinh (worshipped by the whole Shulva and killed Sir Yorgh), Smelter Demon (killed the Iron King), Sir Alonne (helped build the Iron Kingdom), Nashandra, Alsanna and Elana (fragments of the Abyss)

It is funny how FROm creates these characters that are really a legend and powerful like vendrick or artorias or old king doran but if you realize they all fell pray of the darkness...
Well technically that would make manus the most powerful being in the DS series, wouldn't it?
Nope. Manus sucks balls. He is human but got corrupted. He couldnt resist the power of the Abyss, so technically weaker than prime artorias.

Also on topic, being invincible doesn't mean being powerful.
You may not be killed but you can't do ♥♥♥♥ to anything else either.
You're just ... kinda there.
Anyone could lock the cat into a cage and she would sit there for eternity.
Just to point that out

shalquoir uses scratch. it's very effective!

Gotta catch'em all!
Gameplay wise, Burnt Ivory King.

Lorewise, I'm going with Darklurker.

Huh? Darklurker? It comes out of nowhere.
We have little knowledge about this boss. One thing for sure its not even native to the Abyss.
I would go with Vendrick cuz he can 2 shot you while he's hollow and without his souls

just imagine how strong Vendrick would be in his human form and with his souls

That's kind of what I'm getting at. No one in the entire game knew -anything- about it and its power is bizarre to say the least. It's also the only boss in the Dark Souls universe that can clone itself. That's a really big deal, especially when the clone does exactly what the original can do. Also, if the theory that Darklurker is/ once was a being of the Light and it was able to survive and/or halt the Abyss, it's possible that that's the only reason Dark didn't take over the world sooner. Not to mention that the Primordial Serpents no longer exist, and Darklurker could have been the one to kill them.
Shalquoir; She dosen't even flinch nomather how hard you hit her.
Darkdiver Grandahl, Straid, Navlaan, they are pretty powerful too. Like Big Hat Logan in 1. Straid is from a completely different time, who knows what he can do. Tho they are just minor characters.

And how shall we define strength? Dealing with timey-wimey stuff seems pretty powerful, so Emerald Herald is also pretty powerful. If having a big ass army is powerful, then Ivory King is the guy. If screwing up is powerful, then Vendrik.

If screwing up is powerful then Old Iron King is going to take the first place. The guy became his own creation's ♥♥♥♥♥.
That lady with the ladle.
I think you've all been overlooking the real enemy.

Gravity.
