Mule questions.
So, is muling (if that`s even a word) punishable, if it`s legit one? Which means all of the items will be legitimately acquired, no CE. Is it illegal to backup your saves? Transfer items between your character? Cause I`m getting tired of playing through a whole game, just to get a single weapon I want. It takes me like 5 hours, which is not that much, but I`ve played this game long enough before buying it, so I`m slightly sick of PvE at this moment.

And I`m gonna ignore any type of speculation, "omg this is cheating!" stuff etc. I want comments on this from expierenced people who actually did this. Thank you in advance!

I never recycle my old saves so I dont really know about the whole muling business, but I believe that fiddling with your save files is very risky. If you dont want to lose your upgraded items, just ask a friend for help and transfer them between your characters.

"Muling" is where you store items on a 2nd character. It happened alot in Diablo 2 but I can't think why you'd need it here. You have infinite storage space and I don't think there are any unique drops (just extremely rare ones).

Restoring saves is risky. Your SM is lower than previous check. Potential soft ban.

Maybe muling is not the right word here. It`s not for storage, but for getting all the items you could get on a character to transfer to your other characters, and then pasting it back, so basically you duplicate the items.

SM on a mule will be constant, why would it change?
It is perfectly safe. I used to do it all the time for rare drops in Dark Souls 2 + SOTFS.

i've asked people to help mule things that would take ages to farm or to get to for a new character. (like enough arrows for bow build coop.)
Thanks to all those who've helped me btw.
