Best hammers?

I'm assuming it is mace? Not great hammers, just regular hammers. Maybe club, morning star, or mace?

I think its the blacksmiths hammer thats in lost bastille. Needs verification.

really? blacksmiths hammer? hmm, thats the last hammer that i would think that would be good lol. i thought it would be between the mace, morning star, and the club

craftsman and homunculus. Both use the faster up to down swing 1H. Craftsman is a lighter hammer and has a higher counter. Homunclus is the 2nd strongest physical hammer.

Craftsman is the go-to for almost every new game I play. 10 str required to 2-hand it and it acts like an upgraded mace without having to spend a soul or use any titanite.

I believe this is only the case when running a mainly/only STR build, Homunculus Mace does the highest damage with a STR/DEX build (out of all the hammers anyway).

Edit: i had already tested myself but the below is taken straight from thw Wiki page.

- With 40 STR & DEX this weapon has physical attack rating of 290 + 91 = 381. The highest of all one-handed maces.

Im personally a fan of velstadt's hammer, but its a bit annoying not having a 2 handed strong attack

Reinforced should have higher AR even with a quality build. The A scaling seems to do more than homunculus B/E rating and extra base.
