How to update dark souls 2 to patch 1.10?

I wanted to do the alternative ending of Dark Souls, but I saw that it only exists in patch 1.10 and my current one is 1.03, I don't know why it's like this and it doesn't update at all, can someone help me?

You've probably read about the original DS2, which didn't have the 2nd ending until Scholar of the First Sin came out. That version also has different version numbers to SotFS.

The latest version of the original/vanilla DS2 and all versions of Scholar of the First Sin have the alternate ending.
