Best bow?
In DS1 short bows had faster shooting but lower range, longbows and longer range but took longer to shoot, and greatbows had you hunker down to shoot. In this game I don't know what bow is better, they all seem equal and google isn't helping.

Can you explain to me which bow may be better and why? I'm also considering crossbows so if you know how they work, please let me know how you feel about it.

I'm currently using a lightning bellkeeper bow because I noticed them shooting fast, but it looks like I'm missing something critical here.

Hunter's Blackbow for regular, at about 30 endurance you can fire it four times on a full stamina bar, and I believe it's the only bow with S scaling. Dragonslayer Greatbow for greatbow, it fires slightly sooner into the animation than alonne greatbow and has better scaling, it also has slightly higher base damage, possessed greatbow is good if you have a hexer, and I've never found twin head greatbow to be useful at all, the time it takes to draw/recover from shooting is far too great for the 100 or so damage it has on the dragonslayer bow. And lastly... Nice name, scrub. :D

Hunter's Blackbow is my recommendation. It's fast and does good damage.

One doesn't simply sink 600 hours into Dark souls 1 without trying to make an Artorias cosplay. I might do one in DS2 once I've skimmed every corpse, every chest, every transparent hollow that drops a smooth and silky stone... because I need the ragged set with a ponytail helm to match :D

I'll try it out, looks like this is a rather solid choice for everyone...

I guess this is going to be my bow of choice for this particular character, because it runs on faith. However it's always welcome to have different damage types.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
