For most cases is generally cheaper to just buy the game from store, in your case the upgrade might be the better option but the thing is that the upgrade rarely goes on sale.
Btw, save your energy on this complaint, although I agree with you, it's not up for the peeps at steam to put on discounts but the game's publisher, you want a discount on the upgrade? tell that directly to the Bandai Marketing team, steam employees even if they see this can't do anything for you.
Thats who i was directing the complaint at "did they forget to discount it" was at the devs/guys at Bandai not the poor steam discussion mods
I will honestly wait for the upgrade. I don't like DS2 enough to buy it entirely again for almost $30, would rather wait for the upgrade discount price of usually $11
Well, I have bad news for you then, the "upgrade to SOTFS" is just a really fancy "purchase a new but a somewhat lower price copy", you get to keep both the vanilla and SOFTS version no matter if you purchase it straight from the store of the upgrade, there's no difference whatsoever aside the pricing.
And even worst news, the Bandai Namco's marketing team does not even read the steam forums, what I meant by "tell that directly to the Bandai Marketing team" us to send a ticket or an e-mail in their own site.
Once again, I agree with you but HOLY F!!! does one need to hop so many hoops to get a discount on an almost 10 years old game that has no business being this expensive at this stage of it's life.
The price being my main complaint.
And yeah i know but yelling into the ether and complaining makes me feel good and is what brought back online dark souls on steam (when enough ppl yell into the ether someone will listen lol) :D
