Edit: that's probably true for anything elemental though.
Being a rapier @ss is satisfying during invasions since its cheese vs cheese usually.
it´s not the best in terms of scaling i believe, but looks cool and fits with fire-themed characters.
.......... Sorry but I am forced to call you stupid here. That is NOT!! a innate fire weapon, that weapon does NOT have fire in its base stats. The fire longsword you find there is a normal longsword infused with fire, its already infused as you can see by the icon.
Also, some people are not getting that this is a PvE-build.
As far is I understand the OP, he wants to rely on Pyros most of the time and just have a backup option.
So with that being said, light weapons with low requriements and okay damage are needed. So Smelter Sword and BK-weapons are a no-go.
A Chaos Rapier, a Fire Rapier, a Fire Longsword, a Fire Battle Axe, a Fire Spear etc. are aall fine and light backup weapons.
