Battle axe build advice

I've mostly been using Ultra greatswords and longsword in my pvp builds. I decided to switch to battle-axe and i was wondering if i should add some magic to spice it up. I'm not sure of how magic scales that's why i'm asking for advice on builds which include some kind of weapon enchant and maybe couple more spells. Thanks in advance!

If you go the scrublord-route with weapon buff + sacred oath and do the completely unavoidable (not 100%, but really close to that) Running R1 -> R2 -> R2 combo you get the win anyways. No further advice needed then.


If you actually want to have some fun, I suggest to NOT stack buffs like mad.
What route do you want to go? Sorcery? Miracles? Hexes? Pyros fit well into any of these magics.

Just to make sure:
The "Bandit Axe" has a great moveset and you get it in "No Man's Wharf"
The "Bandit's Greataxe" is a greataxe, which is slow and has no range. You get that thing in "the Gutter".

You should know, what weapon do you have to choose, OP.

You can try butcher's knife. High damage, good range, but quite heavy.

The weapon i'm intrested in which i mentioned in the first post is the Battle axe.
