Questions related to cheat engine

Hi! Ive been playing DS and DS2 on pc since they were out, and never used cheat engine before. Today I tried it out of boredom, just to give myself some equipement to try some roleplay, nothing powerful ( judgement set and shadow helmet). Then, i just read about all that softban thing. I didnt even got out of Things Betwixt. So... should i delete my savefile asap, or do you think i will be ok?

considering how prolific cheating is in this game, I wouldn't worry too much about giving yourself items. You're a scrub tho.

You'll probably be fine if you haven't touched the Soul Memory, so - yep. In case you've deleted saves you'll have to restart from scratch, though, and that kinda suсks.

Edit: A bit of google shows that it's possible to remove items added thru CE with CE as well. So there's no need to delete saves. Won't post link, but shouldn't be hard to find.

Deleting is the best course. Look I used a trainer and got softbanned for a month doing the same thing as you, no soul memory, no infinite health or anything, just gave myself about 20 dragon bones and titanite to try a new build. Couple days later I see no signs anywhere even in orange areas, contact namco, they talk to from and say yes I had been softbanned for item manipulation. All that had been done offline, and I even went and played a couple of hours ahead just to add extra fudge.


Now for some reason I'm Unsoftbanned but yeah....it's not worth it.

You can spawn items and give your self god mode and stuff that wont get you soft banned
the only thing that can get you soft banned is:
Changing stats Ex Vgr to 99
changing soul memory or changing souls
or changing a players name other then you
or if you give other players items that are spawned in

thus cheat away

I know its hardly game breaking, that wasnt the intention at all. But From dont take that in consideration either. Thats why i'm a little freaked out right now... :)

with cheat eng you cant get banned inless your a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but never use a trainer those are so easy to see and get banned by p.s this is coming from someone who cheats

Swear it's true and I think I got the e-mail to prove it, it's been a while ago. I'll post it once I get back home to my computer. I don't know if it was glitch or something I did as I kept a backup of my save file from before the item manipulation, but I just logged in one day out of curiosity, went to the iron bridge and had 3-4 signs appear like normal. Heck yesterday on a new character I had white signs all over the place, got summoned 3 times and even summoned to protect a Way of Blue member. So either a lot of softbanned people nowadays or I was Unsoftbanned.


Also hope I don't sound hostile, I'm surprised as you are.

Theres thing you can do with Cheat Engine that arent softbaned.

Not banned:
-Item swap (No creating a item from nowhere but chaging a droped one)
-Name change
-Name color and disable stupid censor with cool characters

Banned:
-Giving you items that arent in game (recolors, the barrel, etc.)
-Being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (infnite HP, no clip, insta backstab, etc.)
-anything related to editing you stats, editing you weapon with fake stats (Poison Bow+99, etc.)
-Being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again
-creating items directly to you inventory

So yeah, you can SWAP items and change you name to look cool but anything else.

Another tip: if you edit item amount in your inventory, drop then pick up or discard.

better no edit directly you inventory, at least editing droped items bypass soft like a "trade"

I know I was fooling around with my character instead of farming like a proper Japanese person so I was banned for somewhat of a reason, but I still want back.
