Wont go full screen

when i start the game it comes up in windowed mode, whenever i try to go full screen the game automatically minimizes itself. is there any way that i can stop this from happening?

Stop background applications one by one and see which one interferes.

yes. it works fine with the original dark souls 2 but not for scholar of the first sin

The issue is with Windows 10. You either are running multiple monitors or you have a program running in the background that is shifting focus. I would recommend either getting razer cortex and playing in game desktop mode, or googling Windows 10 game keeps minimizing for a list of common problem programs. And if you are on multiple monitors, you may want to shift down to just 1 for when you are playing DS2 SOTFS.

so i figured out that the resolution that darksouls was being set to for full screen was different then my screen resolution. i set it to my screen resolution and it worked perfect. thank you for recommending razer cortex, i like it alot

Go to display setting and change scaling to 100% (it's usually on recommended 125%) it solved my problem
