Aldia boss fight

So i hear that in order to fight aldia and get the other ending you have to kill Vendrick before Nashandra. I killed him then used a bonfire ascetic to fight Velstadt again. So i've killed him before but he's currently alive. Will i get to fight aldia or do i have to kill him again?

I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is talk to Aldia all three times. But I can't remember if I've killed Vendrick, before Nashandra, each time. Even so, you can just fight Nashandra, and if he doesn't appear, use a bonfire ascetic. This should reset the bosses (Throne defender and watcher, Nashandra and Aldia), allowing you to kill Vendrick before re-attempting to fight Aldia.

Sorry if that was hard to understand, I kept rewriting my sentences.

Velstadt =/= Vendrick. I'm pretty sure you can't revive Vendrickedit: looked it up, you can revive him, but don't get an extra soul of the king in amana. So no, I highly doubt that you've to kill him more than once. It's an easy fight anyway, so you could do it just for the souls.
