I've started trying to use pyromancies on my character, and need to know...
Would int or fth affect the power of it? And if so, which will be better.
Int & fth both affect to power of pyromansy spell
According to something I recently found out, besides the fact that both INT and FTH affect Pyromancies, the soft cap is when the total between them is 60, so could be 10 INT, 50 FTH or 30 INT, 30 FTH and so on. Hope this helps, I personally found it interesting and love it how you can still learn stuff in Souls games even after years of playing them.
Not only that, you get also the best all arround magic resistances. This is so impirtant for pvp.
For ex, a quality build with no magic of any kind will be melted by a buffed weapon.
An infused and buffed weapon will always outdamage a normal +10.
If you still dont want points spent on int and faith, get the piromancy flame, the ring from the scorpion boss in shaded woods ng+ (ascetic), that let you have 3 casting slots, flame weapon from ng+ lost sinner, warmth from the rats in the rat covenant area, and a 3rd piro that is up to you.
I use this a lot on lower level pvp the fire buff is basically free, you need only a ring slot, and provides your weapon with nice extra dmg, even on uninfused ones.
