Are people still exist in the game? (except the red and blue arena)

Just want helping other people to beat the boss, but I can't even find a single match in this game, though most people may stay in DLCs, my souls memory is only 9 million, not sure if it is the PC's problem or not, cause when i was playing DS2 in PS4, there are a lot of people stay in iron keep for pvp or ganker no matter what souls memory is, is this game dead already in PC?(not sure if it is the hackers problem that make people don't want to play the game anymore in PC, Ive never met any hacker in PS4.) :(

Most people finishing game about 3m SM, and there isnt much people, who willing to complete DS2 for 100%.(playing NG+2)

3 million really? Damn when i finish the whole game and DLCs I think I had 7m at that time, I spent too much souls on buying items LOL and farming the equipment and weapon. In my PS4 experience, even I have 100m SM, there are still a lot of people around the world and especially the Iron Keep. So I am planning to farm the souls and reach highest SM, see if people still exist just like the people in PS4.....

Cheat engine, mule characters and trades i think more common on PC, so there isnt much need to farm it. Also mods.
Even like old methods from 2000-s games are still working - copy your file, send all your consumables and items to friend, paste file, repeat process until you have everything.

I could understand that, since some items fall in category too rare and painful to farm. (Monastery set and scimitar, red lion cape, heide greatlance, Drakekeeper hammer e.t.c)

Pretty sure if you want to constantly find PvP invasions you have to get Blue Acolyte mod. And yes it's safe to use as it's just an extra matchmaking layer on the pre-existing one, with added protection against cheaters. Other than that, if you want to invade or help players you have to stay within soul memory. Lower areas are usually somewhere between 60-90k, mid areas within 300-500k, Drangleic is like 1mil. Outside of that I doubt you'll find many people. If you want to re-experience proper multiplayer the best bet is to wait until next year community event. It's called return to Drangleic. It should commense in early January of 2024 and last for about 2 weeks.

Both belfries,Iron Keep and DLC areas are very active. I get invaded quite a lot,and there is no chance I will pop a red orb and not find someone consistently unless I play during the mornings when only 700-800 players are on.

1 tip is to mind your SM, lots of people are just too damn high. anywhere from 300k to 2m work great for me,and getting summoned for co-op takes less than a minute.

Use Agape Ring,people.
