Start up issue

Hi Guys, sorry for being a pain, but I have this start up issue with the game

When I launch it, it quickly skips the intros as if I spammed the enter key (start button) and the it comes to the game menu. It is weird as if I have a key that is stuck, but I have tried everything and still doesn't work.

Then it literally goes to the start menu and freezes

Has someone had similar issue. I had a controller plugged in, unplugged it, same issue

Also, I was dabbling with steam input and sometimes it fixes the issue but then the game crashes after I get to the start screen

(sorry for my English) the only solution I found for a similar error was by opening the game in windowed mode. Try that, at the moment it's the only thing that worked for me.

Is there a way to do this without starting the game? When I start up the game, I am unable to control anything, let alone go to settings

Go to %appdata% and there you will find a DS2 folder that contains the game configuration. There you just have to change the following line

<FullScreen>OFF</FullScreen>

It will normally appear ON. And that's all, I hope it helps you

Do you mean Game data in the installed folder? I can't find the line in any of the files unfortunately

No.
You should run Windows + R
there write %appdata%
and in the folder that will open, search
DarkSoulsII
inside there you will find the configuration file
