killing vendrick unlock's another final boss; so if you haven't killed the throne watcher or the throne defender before killing the giant lord then you're in for 3 back-to-back-to-back boss fights. That's a negative consequence.

On the other hand you do get to grab the king's soul from a cave somewhere in the shrine of amana and get the king's set, then trade the soul for some kind of weapon.

i am fighting bosses to fight them at this point, i am okay with my gear and level and don't mind losing souls or getting tropies tbh

I read up on it and you will fight Aldia at the end. It seems the best way to go about it is kill nashandra and her guard dogs, then kill vendrick, then fight aldia so you won't have to face a boss marathon.

You cannot fight Aldia if you kill Nashandra before Vendrick.

Yeah, you NEED to kill vendrick before natasha for aldia to show up. So at the very least you'll be doing 2 bosses back to back the first time (no idea if nashandra will respawn if you die to aldia) or 3 if you didn't kill throne defenders before killing the giant lord.

I heard you can homeward bone out of there after the throne defenders fight to stop back-to-back fights. Is that one incorrect as well?

might be true; it's easier to just head in there after you get the king's ring and kill them though
