Get it Enchanted so your int will transform in to melee dmg 50 int would be great (or more if you want) your attunement for spells ( your choice) you spells (dito) hmmm set i would recommend lion mage set and hexer's hood for more spells or black mask for more casting times, for the ring hmmm your choice i think its good enought
EDIT: that's what i did
Btw here is the armor list I use:
-Head:Hexers hood(1 extra cast on soul arrow = meh, 1 extra cast on soul spear = fudge yeah)
-Chest, hand, and legs: Lion mage set(noice cast time reduction.
-Rings: Souther ritual band +2(use bonfire ascetic on third bonfire of shaded woods and kill Nakja again), Bracing knuckle ring(more durability is always nice), clear bluestone ring +2(less casting time plz) and the fourth ring is optional.
Magic infusion. Don't listen to the peeps telling you that everybody will stack their magic defense when they see it. Enchanted's a nice surprise, but if you use it as a main weapon the loss of the beams is pretty severe, they make the weapon shine (also literally).
When your build is focused at the MLGS, you REALLY want the whole moveset including the beams.
Rings: Magic Clutch, Chloranthy +2, Red/Blue Tearstone, Blue Clearstone +2
As for spells I'd go with Repair, (Crystal) Soul Spear, Soul Shower and Great Heavy Soul Arrow. You don't need a versatile spell-loadout because your focus will be melee with your MLGS.
